Map Guide

You can move around the map, by simply clicking and dragging it with your mouse, or use the "+" amd "-" icons to zoom in and zoom out. The buttons inset into the top right of the map allow you to switch between Map, Satelite Photo, and Terrain views.

For more information about a specific space, click on the relevant space marker (or click on the suburb/street from the list to the left of the map) and you will be provided with a summary of the space/s currently active in that street - for full details about a specific space, click on summary for the required space, and a window will popup with detailed info for that space.

To get in touch with the the SpaceOwner or SpaceSeeker, click on the Contact Tab and you can then (provided you are logged in) either send them a question , or request to exchange contact details.

You can display just Spaces for Rent, or Spaces Wanted (or both) on the map by selecting the relevant checkboxes below the map.

Search Guide

You can customise your search by providing more specific search criteria with the advanced search. Click on the Advanced Search link to display the extra filter feilds you can use.

The table below provides a brief description of each of the search fields.

Location: The Suburb, Postcode, Town/City, or even Street name where you would like the search to be based
Radius: Select the distance from the centre of the search area you would like the search to be based
Access: The type of access you would prefer
Storage Type: The type of storage space you are looking for
Space Size: Whether the size space you are looking for is small (< 20m3)), medium, or large (>50m3)
Price per Month: Approximate price per month you are prepared to pay

Default Map Location

The default location for the map shown on the SpaceOut Search results will vary depending on the different situations outlined below

Latest Search Query Once you have made a Space Search, we will remember what location you used last, and use that as the default map location the next time you view this page.
Set your Own Default SpaceOut Members can specify a default location (via the My Profile page).
Logged In If you have already registered and logged in (and have provided your address details as a part of the registration process) we will use your postcode as the central point for the the map.
Otherwise If none of the above apply to you, then we will display a location which already contains a number of listings - this default location could be anywhere in Australia.
